I received my case number today from NVC.  The Embassy Code (first 3 letters of the case number) are JHN.  I believe this is the Johannesburg, South Africa Embassy Code.  This is problematic because The Beneficiary moved to Ghana after we filed the I-129F petition.  I notified the USCIS of the change in address and requested they change the embassy of record in writing.  USCIS confirmed SEVERAL TIMES that the mailing address was changed for The Beneficiary to the address in Ghana.  I asked a live agent back when INFO PASS was working and they also confirmed the change of address in their system.  My assumption was that they would also change the embassy or record from Johannesburg to Accra.  However, based on the case number, it appears that this petition, once approved, is going to the wrong embassy.  Now, I am also afraid to have her fill out the DS-160 because they will be looking for a South African address when the current address is Ghanaian.  Also, it means we should hold off on doing the medical exam because I don't know what country to do it in.

What do I do?  Write to NVCResearch?  Fill out a public inquiry?  My case may be sent as early as next Tuesday or Wednesday.  Do I wait for it to get sent to Johannesburg and contact them thereafter to ask them to transfer?  Do I ask the Accra embassy to see if they will accept the case?  How long will that case transfer delay things further?  Has anyone gone through this before?  How did you resolve it?  What did you learn?  What do you suggest I do?

NVC didn't even has the case until this week, as they just assigned me a case number.  I found out about it yesterday.  USCIS assured me it would be going to Ghana.  They were clearly wrong.  I sent a public inquiry to NVC last night, formally requesting a change of Embassy.  I am hoping they get it before Tuesday, because my case might be transferred out on that date.
