Michele Miculiani, who works at the supermarket across the street from Town Hall, joined the pro-immigrant group on her lunch break.

"That side is hatred, and hatred is what causes the problems here," Miculiani yelled, pointing at the crowd outside of city hall. "It's these kind of people, they're no better than the terrorists on 9/11!"

She sounds like some of the enablers here on VJ.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Mayor KKK????? Well, I'm anti-illegal immigration and I hardly consider myself prejudiced. I have 4 mexican children, 3 mexican grandchildren, 4 mexican nieces and nephews and a mexican fiance.........I could go on with extended family......... Why should we just let all of the illegal Mexicans in? Why don't we open our country to all nations....maybe send hand written invitations to all known terrorists

When you can prove that all illegal immigrants terrorists, then I'll listen to what you have to say. Calling everyone terrorists is the equivalent of calling someone a nazi in debate. It means you have lost the debate and have nothing to contribute.

Maybe if it were easier or more affordable to immigrate here there would be more Mexicans doing it legally! And don't forget that many of the businesses here WANT Mexican workers.

Who gave the "founding fathers" permission to come here?

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

Last I checked, immigration was still a privilege that each country gets to regulate as it sees fit. Too many mistake cross-border migration as a basic right which it clearly isn't. And those businesses you are referring to are not actually looking for Mexican workers, they are looking for easily exploitable prey of any nationality. That easily exploitable prey just so happens to come in the Mexican variety more than any other around here. ;)

Boring day on VJ ?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
