Hi everyone,

Today I got an email from NVC that my and my family members’ birth certificates were not the correct forms. We uploaded our birth certificates from e-goverment website that is given in NVC website. Tomorrow I will upload and send the document that is titled Extract of Vital Record (Vukuatlı Nüfus Kayıt Örneği). I hope they accept now.

Also my marriage certificate which was also taken from Turkish e-government website( multilingual document)  was not accepted too. I also do not know what exactly NVC wants for Marriage certificate?

ı wonder if someone experienced with these issues?

thanks in advance

:) Selam, honestly I don’t have the right answer for you but you can try to upload notarized translations.. they usually require notarized documents in US.

Thank you I will make them translate and resend again.

I am also in the process of gathering and translating my spouse’s and stepdaughter’s BC, prior marriage divorce decree, NUFUS, etc. Both USCIS and US DOS immigration related pages instruct applicants to submit any foreign documents with a translation and a ”Certificate of Translation” by the translator. See attached PDF for two examples of such document.

Good luck.

They again did not accept the translated documents with sworn translator. I really did not understant what they actually want. If I add the translation and certificate of translation they accept?

I applied to EB-2 NIW visa and my I-140 approved in Feb, 2022.

I had sent formul a and formul b( multilingual forms for birth certificate and marriage certificate)  on 22nd of March. They first sent an email which stated that bc and mc that I sent were not acceptable on 29th of March. They sent an email from nvc.state.gov/inquiry

Then I made translated my and my families’ birth certificates(vukuatli nüfus kayıt örneği) and my marriage certificate( aile cuzdanı) and resent them on 4th of April. And they again sent the same email on 7th of April that tells:

“We cannot accept the birth certificate document you sent us. You must send a photocopy of the correct document, issued by the appropriate authority in your country of birth, so we can continue to process your case.
For country-specific guidelines, use the Document Finder at nvc.state.gov/find. Each Reciprocity Page provides detailed information about how and where you can obtain the birth certificate from the country you selected.
To view the birth certificate requirements, select your country from the main menu on the left side of the page. On the Reciprocity Page, click the Birth, Death, Burial Certificates tab on the left.
If your documents are not in English or the language of the country where you will have your interview, you must include a certified translation. The translation must include a statement that says:
* The translation is accurate
* The translator is competent to translate.

I asked many people from Turkiye and they told they already sent the same documents with translations and they are accepted.

I really wonder what is wrong with my documents?

What did you change in your documents after their refusal?
