Congrats @Atlas737, that’s great news!

Am I correct in understanding that they only do interview releases in one batch so if we haven’t heard today we need to wait for next month now?

Usually just once a month, but I have seen twice a month in the past, so you never know - they like to keep us on our toes!

I am new here. How do I add my NIW-EB2 dates. PD Sep 2023; DQ August 2024; Current in June.

Quick question: What is the average waiting period between being current and receiving the IL email for London? Thanks

Hey @UEDD, embassies have different processing times and notification dates so your friends lucky to be going through an embassy a bit faster than Londons. It's not an exact science to figure out when London will release their dates but i looks like they have already done this for June so you will perhaps be told in July

There are a few of us (myself included) who are waiting for their interview notifications so it really depends on the number of people in the queue waiting to be told as well. I suspect because there was a big jump for those now current in June there will be a small wait to process those going through London

Please fill in your timeline - you'll find the link on your comment above beside the photos link

Thanks for this explanation. I am a bit worried because I got a job in the USA to resume next month on H1B and I was thinking I would get IL this month. I am at a confused state right now because doing AOS after I am current takes a longer period of time. Leaving work for the interview seems impossible since it's in academia.

When do you need to start the job? Please fill in your timeline, it’s really hard to help you without that info, and it helps other EB applicants too.

Hello everyone,

I had my interview today at the London embassy (June 18), and after a few standard questions, the consular asked me if I had my CV. I was not, and he handed me a green slip asking me to email my CV to the email address mentioned on the slip. What worries me is that he returned my passport and all supporting documents.

Any similar experience or guidance on the expected timeline?

Is your occupation on the TAL list? Any links with high risk countries?

There is no expected timeline I’m afraid. Admin Processing can take weeks, months or even years. It varies hugely by every case.

Please fill your timeline in, thx.

Hey @AE5794 I don't think this is a big issue from "my understanding a green slip, means the US Embassy or Consulate needs more information or administrative processing before issuing a visa. When a passport is returned with a green slip, it signifies that the visa application is on hold, not permanently denied. The passport is returned because the consular officer cannot yet issue the visa". so the question I have for you are; what were the standard questions you were asked and for the CV part was it that he expected your CV to be updated or did he ask you for an updated CV?

Just like @appleblossom said if your occupation is on the TAL List or you had visited high risk countries might be another issue for them to put you in AP.

Thanks a lot both for your replies.

My field is in healthcare AI with dual MD/PhD degree. I don’t think this qualifies for TAL; no visits to high risk countries, and I am Egyptian, so not red flags here (so far).

The interview was extremely brief. I was asked:

1. What categories are you applying to?

2. What do you do with AI?

3. Asking my wife how we met and when (We are married for 7 years with two kids).

4. Do you have your CV with you?

And that is it.

My timeline:

PD: 19 May 2023

Decision: 11 November 2023

DQ: Jan 2024

Interview date: 18 June 2025

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Wales

Why were you interviewing in London?

What job would you be doing in the US?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I am based in London.

It is NIW; no job offer is needed, but I will work as scientist in healthcare AI
