I-751 RFE while waiting for N400 interview.

Hello, 

 

I received after 19 months an email from Uscis tonight. A RFE for my I-751- LIN receipt. I found this weird, I just called them 2 days ago (since it’s pretty much “outside of processing time”) We sent plenty of evidence; even hired a lawyer at that time when I filed the I-751 form. 
 

I submitted my N400 application September 2022. Would this put the N400 on hold too? Anyone else experienced something similar? 
 

My anxiety just went through the roof not knowing that they’re going to ask and when I’m going to receive the RFE letter. 
 

Any help/advice is much appreciated.

Most likely asking for updated information on your marriage and other docs related to 751.

It would put it on hold in that you’d obviously not get an N-400 approval without successfully removing conditions.

But, it should not make a huge difference in your overall timeline,  as long as you respond to the RFE promptly.

 

There is really no way to know until you receive the letter-  hopefully in the next few days.
