Hi! So my fiance and I have pretty much completed our application package but my fiance’s father is currently in the process of selling his house where my fiance and I would’ve been living. Originally we decided to wait until my fiance got a new address to send everything off but, due to personal complications, it may take longer to sell the house than anticipated, which in turn delays my fiance moving into a new place. We’re considering just submitting the application with my fiance’s current address as we don’t want our application to be delayed any longer.

I was just wondering how easy it is to inform USCIS of a petitioner’s address change, it’s inevitable that he will move, we aren’t sure how much hassle it’d be and whether we’re just better off waiting for the new address.

Thank you for the link! My fiance is a US citizen but I’m assuming we’d also be able to use the online portal to change his address.

Your fiancé files the petition so will want the petition receipts/notices to come to him. The address change info is for any active application with USCIS.  Later after the petition is approved, you are done with USCIS for a bit.  When your case has reached the embassy in London, you (beneficiary)  will apply for the visa through the Department of State.(not USCIS). You can put new addresses for either of you on your visa application.  At that point (case in London) he (UScitizen) is not going to be receiving anything by mail.

Ahh I see, thank you so much for the help!
