I got my receipt # the other day from the NVC via email so I used this to file the DS-160 today.

I got my criminal record check done yesterday and will have the results mailed to me in the next month, I also went and got 10 us style passport photos for all the upcoming steps and am in the process of having my Fiance fill out the Affidavit of support along with all other required documents.

What do I do now?? My embassy is Montreal and I don't see any places to schedule an interview I also have not yet heard from the embassy directly yet..

Do I just sit and wait now until they reach out or do I do something?

Also I didn't pay anything for the DS-160 am I supposed to do that somewhere?

Thanks im just confused on what my next steps are.

I think after they create your case, they send it to the consulate.

After it's in READY state, then you can file for the DS-160 and pay the fee.

Afterwards you select the interview date / ASC appointment, etc.

From what I've read.
