Filed AOS from H1B to marriage based AOS (2 year marriage to USC) in May 2022. Biometrics completed July, i130 approved in August. Medical RFE docs receipted in October.

Called USCIS to check on an expedite request on my EAD as H1B is expiring to be given the run around, but was also told that i-485 interview had been waived.

Does anyone know what this does to the GC review/ approval timeline or will it still be in limbo for an eternity?

No one knows for certain.  You'll just have to keep monitoring your I-485 case status.  Another member recently posted about having been told months ago that their I-485 interview had been waived, yet their case still hasn't been approved 🤷‍♀️
