Hey!

 

I have my ROC approved so will not be a dual interview. My interview is coming up soon. From a lot of reviews they say to bring your spouse but I’m sure Covid has complicated things but do many people actually get to bring their spouse in to their interviews? I’m anticipating no but is every Field Office different? I’m fully prepped already and will have my husband drop me off but I doubt he’s needed right as I already have my 10 yr GC. I have my Bonafides printed already and have no criminal record/traffic violations. Ready to rumble my end!

Always bring your spouse when naturalizing under 3 year rule. It's based on marriage after all.

I am for sure. I’m not sure if they will let him enter the building per stand alone 3 yr already approved I-751/n-400 reviews but I’ll definitely try entering together. Was curious though based on experiences 😊

I don't believe it's legally required to bring your spouse when I-751 is approved, but it may help IO to decide on your case then and there.

I recently naturalized under 3 year rule in SF. my spouse was not allowed into the building for the interview or the oath, not even in the waiting area. she had to wait for a few hours at Starbucks lol.

If they ask your spouse to go wait outside, he/she could go get a coffee and bagel OR go buy flowers  by which time you should be done with your interview.

 

Worst case scenario:

They ask we need your spouse to come and reschedule it....
