Hi All,

Here is a history of my case.

Got my H1 visa in 2010 and was in US working in IT for that employer till 2014 (2 years of H1 still unused)

Took a transfer to India within the same company and Currently on PR in Australia with the same company. Have not switched companies since 2010 but not on the same role that the GC was applied for!!

My priority date is current(since Jan, 2022)  but when I discussed with my company's immigration officer, they mentioned that my company\manager needs to open up the same position my GC was applied for in 2011 which is not possible ( they will not do that for sure)

Is there any way to have my Green card application stay active(at least not expire) even if we do not decide to pursue it for the next 1-2 years? What are my options?
