freeni, that is soooo bad to hear. :( ,

but cheer up inshallah, allah (swt) has someone better planned in your life.

my wife's I-129f got approved, on the 22nd of feb :) and it was sent to the NVC. and i have a couple of questions. please.

1. the approval notice is good for only 4 months, right.

2. Do you think we will have an interview date by begining or mid may. ( can we request a certain interview date) :D

I need to let my employer know what weeks i need off, so i can go to our interview.

3. do women usually go thru the AR too.

4. what can i do to speed up the process of getting an interview date asap.

jazakallah khair in advance,

1. No Clue

2.Last year quite a few of us were able to expedite the interview date by just faxing/showing up at the emabssy that we were in pakistan and wanted to take our wives with us.....give that a try but as mary said embassy is very busy and quite backed up these days.....

3.I havent heard of anyone going thru AR

4.You can talk to the embassy, fax them, have your congressman's office fax....you can do all this but there is not guarantee that it will happen.....

Good Luck!

Freeni,

Oah, it is sad but don’t worry everything will be all right soon.

May Lord Almighty helps you and resolve all your problems.

Man is a wonderful creature; he sees through the layers of fat (eyes), hears through a bone (ears) and speaks through a lump of flesh (tongue).

just an update on our situation since i haven't posted in a while....

as far as the K-3 goes, my husband received packet 3 (or 3.5?) last week. his interview is scheduled for April 7, 2006!!! we are both very happy and excited to hear the good news!!!

this is the list that we have compiled so far for the K-3 interview:

- DS-156 (2 forms)

- DS-157

- birth certificate

- marriage certificate

- evidence of relationship

- I-134 (myself & sponsor)

- 2005 federal tax return

- job letter

- evidence of assets

- passport

- medical report

- police clearance

- photos for visa

- $100 visa fee

is there anything missing from the above list? i will send two I-134's to my husband, one will be mine, and the other will be my brothers, who is the co-sponsor. will my brother and i need to send 3 years federal tax forms or just 2005's?

will my husband need to send any of the documents on the list right now, or does he just need to have everything on the list ready when he goes for his interview?

i hope everyone else is doing well!!!

by the way, i still don't know if we should continue with the I-130, since we now have an interview date for K-3 visa......any thoughts on whether or not we should still pursue the I-130???

regards,

molly

Hey Molly - don't know what to tell you about the sponsor, but the rest of your list looks good. I would tell the husband to take an extra $100 or so to the embassy "just in case" they want to take a full set of fingerprints. I would definitely continue in your I-130 also, - you never know, they just might switch the interview to a CR-1 if the case is complete and at the Embassy on that day.

Good Luck!

2nd interview with video tape is very un-common. usually done when there is a doubt. but we r really married for good.so i would'nt worry.
