Calling everyone going thru Islamabad Embassy, version 2.0

Any Suggestions? I have emailed the Embassy for them to confirm receipt of our petition from NVC. It has been a week now and no response. According to DHL it was delivered on May 12. My fiance called on May 13 and they told him they have our file electronically but not physically. Since then, my fiance has not been able to get through to the embassy (Busy signal all the time). How soon should we expect his packet to come in the mail? What papers are in the K-1?

NVC has deadline for interview date. If you case is completed by the end of the month, you'll get the interview in the following month.

"Yes, most likely interview would be setup for July because June is closed already. You'll receive the copy of the interview letter too....."

Sky2K,

How were you able to determine the ISL interview availability dates? Is this information available anywhere on VJ for ISL?

thx

What if a case was complete by the end of May......would the case get a june date or july date?

even if NVC schedules an interview every 2nd week of the month, that doesn't mean that it still couldn't have a late june date correct?

just curious <_<

No Aisha, I just missed it by few days. I would be in July.

Good luck!

Yes, most likely interview would be setup for July because June is closed already. You'll receive the copy of the interview letter too. The medical is best done 15 days or 1 week prior to interview. I don't know the cost at this moment, but I'll find out in few days.

Good luck!

Thanks Sky2k and congratulations on your case complete!!!!!

Did you get your case complete soon enough to get a June interview?? I hope you get a quick interview date and your in my prayers.

Best Regards

Aisha

Hi Sky2k,

I called yesterday and they now have our checklist on file, but who knows when our case will be complete :(

We hope it will be soon, but on the automated system, it says can take up to 6-8 weeks........ OMGOSH

Please don't let it take that long............ :crying:

US Permanent Residents and US Citizens are allowed 6 months of stay in Canada without any visa. For more info you can go to www.cic.gc.ca

Quick Question, if a person has a green card and pakistan passport, do they need to get a Canadian Visa to travel to Canada.

Thanks.
