t could cause an issue especially if your interview is taking place before your rukhsati date. And if it hasn't then like i said CO may take this as a positive thing because it could prove that your relation to your wife is still very strong. Although, Gora's may take this process very strangely. CO may put you on AP for further investigation just to see the precision of the marriage.

If you are a Pakistani married to a Pakistani the Nikka and Rukhsati are not an issue. If a Pakistani marries a Gora woman then you might have an issue since these marriages are scrutinized more closely. Almost all men have AP and the current events in London and in the media are not going to make the checks go any faster.

Hey everyone,

My husbands IR-1 interview is coming up soon (july 25,2007)... and I AM SCARED.. I just realized something... I was reading some of the old posts and now im VERY CONFUSED..

In the I-130... we wrote or NIKAH date as the Marriage date... which was Nov. 19,2003.. My "Shadi" "ruksati" was on october 12,2004.. WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM??? or am i jus panicking for no reason.. according to Islam NIKAH=marriage but desi culture dosnt consider u married unless you have the whole ruksati thing... will this be a problem at the interiew???

ANY THOUGHTS......??????????

Thanks in advance!!!

My nikah was in November 2001 and rukhsati was December 2004. Long gap between Nikah and rukhsati. CO did not ask me about nikah or rukhsati but i told him that nikah was in 2001 and rukhsati was in 2004. He asked why wait for so long and asked for pictures of both functions also he asked me that tell me something interesting about your wife in this gap.

At the end he approved and congratulated but said need to do AP. Nothing to worry about Nikah or rukhsati gap.

Zaki

you are on AP, do you think your AP has anything to do with this huge Gap? In some cases it could be good thing because CO may take this 3 years Gap as successful marriage. but not every CO think like that?

You are on a roll man. All the points you made are very good!

www.dmv.org and check your state. Here in Alabama they would not talk to us without the ss number.

On June 11, the CIS Ombudsman issued his 2007 Annual Report to Congress. Heres the link to the 145-page report: http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/CISOMB_...Report_2007.pdf

Of particular concern to many of you would be Ombudsman's comments about FBI name checks which are listed on page 37 of this report.

May God help us all in overcoming this hurdle!

Hey everyone. I just got a call from my wife stating that on the news, there is a bunch of stuff going on in Islamabad with the military and all. I didn't get much details because the cell phone signal sucked. She's afraid the embassy may shut down, cause usually that's the first thing to happen when things get stirred up a little. I'm not sure what the hell is going on there but I am nervous now. Her interview is right around the corner and this kind of ####### happens. I hope all is well over there, for the sake of everyone, not just me.

Did anyone hear about this??

Thanks everyone....

ZAKI did u have a translater or did u have your interview in English??? and by the way dont worry, inhs'Allah everything will work out (Ameen)...

I already Paid the Visa fee to NVC... How much money should he take at the time of interview ($100?)??

And if you have any other advice for interview preperations or anythings pls tell..

Yes i have translator. I prefer interview in URDU. There is no fees on interview day as IR1/CR1 already paid $380 to NVC. I took pictures, chat logs, phone cards, but nothing asked only pictures for both functions (Nikah & Rukhsati). You can read my interview questions in my signature link.

I meant to post this here!!!

Hi Folks,

I just wanted to check in to let you all know that I called DOS and my fiance passed the security clearance. YEAH!!! The visa specialist said that the case has been forwarded back to the embassy. I thought it would be good to share this with you all especially since there was a few others that had their interviews at the end of March.

I'm hoping this part goes quickly. When he was interviewed he was told congratulations, your visa was approved, we just have to go through administrative processing.

Fingers crossed things will go quickly for us and others. Allah akbar!

I hear that more than 9 people (1 military, 2 security guards and 6 students) have died in this clash so far. This is nuts and def not good for the image of Pakistan.

New article of shooting at Mosque. I am praying no delays for any of you that are in this process and we have a friend there now that went to get his wife and bring her back to the states.

Check this out...

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/07/0...g.ap/index.html

And the part scares the most is this:

{A man used the mosque's loudspeakers to order suicide bombers to get into position.

"They have attacked our mosque, the time for sacrifice has come," the man said.

Hundreds of police and paramilitary Rangers have taken up position near the mosque in recent days in what officials have said is an effort to contain their activities.

Musharraf said last week that he was ready to raid the mosque, but warned that militants linked to al Qaeda had slipped inside and that the media would blame any bloodbath on the government.}

Now that is nuts....

Don't hate the player, Hate the game

Peter Griffin: The deep south? Isn't that the place where the black guys are really lazy and all the white guys are just as lazy but they're mad at the black guys for being so lazy?
