Hi All

My mom and dad had their immigration interview on the 25th July. After the interview, the consul  officer said they need more time for admin processing. He didn’t use words like visa approved or denied. He also did not take their passport.

he gave them following  sheet and said you will receive an email from the consulate after which you will take further action.
My mom received the email a week later which asked for previous travel history, previous passport numbers, sibling information etc but dad never got an email.
I have responded to the email my mom received and sent all the information  to the consulate but haven’t heard from them yet. My parents still have their passports with them.

so my question is, is there anything we need to do at this stage? Is it just a waiting game now? I am worried that as per the page given by the consul office we should courier the passports maybe that’s what is delaying the process ? (Though my parents say that the consul officer said they will let us know when to courier the passports)

My retired dad has worked in Saudi all his life.. the interview was at Islamabad embassy.

The nvc visa status says “ visa denied due to administrative processing”.

Did this every happen with anyone before? Should we just go ahead and courier the passports?

thank you all.

Its very common practise. There is no need to be worried. The same happened in case of my mother. They sent her an email about her travel history and siblngs details and her social media accounts etc. She also requested to submit additional documents like marriage certificate etc. They received email about to submit passport after 40 days ..
