Well, after 6 long months my fiance's interview is on Tuesday.

We've doubled checked all our documents and evidence and I'm pretty sure we are covered. So after that we need to wait a few days to get the passport with visa and mysterious packet that is not to be opened.

If we book for him to return home April 17 we should be safe right? I anticipate there might be a slight delay since we had re-book the medical for the day before the interview.

Also, can anyone tell me about the LAX POE? Did anyone ask about the EAD stamp there? -- I figure it won't hurt to ask!

My POE was at LAX and I have to say it was easier than the times when I have come to visit and they asked me questions. This time they asked me absolutely nothing, just took my packet from me and sent me on my way. April 17th will be more than enough time, the maximum it can take to get your passort back from the embassy from the courier is 5 working days. All the best.

You say your medical is the day before the interview? Better be sure your results arrive to London in time! I'm not sure how long it does take for them to send them to the Embassy but if you haven't already asked be sure you ask about that. Good luck on your interview!!

I would say that if everything goes well with the interview April 17th should be fine!

Well they say 2 days for the medical to get to the embassy, so I'm guessing there could be a slight delay in issuing/approving the visa, but it shouldn't take too long if everything else is in order.

Claudeth's experience at the LAX POE was very pleasant. The officer was very nice to her. She really appreciated his kindness. I am not aware of any temp EAD stamp being issued at LAX

Good Luck with the interview. It's the bood test results that take the time because everything else is done at the Dr's rooms.
