Did the NVC give you a DHL tracking number? Or how did you know what type of shipping the NVC used to send it so DHL could approximate delivery?

Thanks.

the nvc will give the date of of approval so i used a range guesstimate based on that to determine a date DHL would get it. the dhl employee i spoke with was really nice and told me the few days surrounding mine as well that petitions were forwarded to the consulate.

(you will need the nvc addy and the embassy addy as well) i have already forgotten them! ^_^

our petition sat at the embassy for a couple of weeks before they sent a letter the beneficiary. same thing with the interview letter i found it on the website probably 2.5 weeks before the letter arrived.

This is how to track it online; it's a copy of a post from this thread:

n2ojones,

i ran across the following while reading this thread today. i'm almost finished with the entire thing. good luck. also, i live in austin.

to: www.dhl.com

Select: Track by Reference

Type in Reference: (Depends on Embassy) Use any of the following three keywords:

I-730

EXPEDITE NIV SECTION (Maybe Non-Immigrant Visas)

EXPEDITE IV SECTION (Maybe Immigrant Visas)

Put the range of dates around the date that NVC gives you as package has been shipped.

Look for any of the packages sent to BNK. There is no gaurantee that it will acutally be your package, but if you see a package sent on the date they told you, then it could possilby be yours.

On the date they said they sent mine, I got two "hits". One for the EXPEDITE NIV and one for the EXPEDITE IV, so I assumed one of them was mine!

Great info Kang Land and smgx. So I talked to a great lady at DHL who told me all shipments from DOS to the BKK embassy on my ship date and up to 2 days after my ship date, have all been received already.

So now my question is, now that I know it has been received, but obviously not put into their system yet, should I have my fiance send packet 3? If they have it, but don't have it in their system yet and receive packet 3 will they just toss it out? And how long does it usually take them to enter the petition into their system from when they physically receive it?

Thanks again guys!

well what we did was gather everything, get the medical etc. and waited about 10 business days after we were pretty certain they had it and sent packet 3 off via EMS, worked out fine for us. maybe someone else has a better suggestion??

What about just going to the embassy with the packet 3 items all filled out? I know they have 'walk in' hours between 1pm and 3pm so the worst they can do is say they don't have our petition yet, or take the papers and give an interview date! My fiance lives a few sky train stops away so maybe I'll get her to try that...

if you want to confirm the arrival of your case, email the embassy. they have my case now, so i think yours should arrive at the embassy already. if you don't email, tell your fiancee to go ahead and mail the checklist and other document to the embassy. that's what i'm going to do tomorrow !!

Good luck.

this weekend is a 4 days weekend (Sat-sun-mon-tues) in thailand. if you don't hear anything from the embassy by this friday, don't expect to hear anything from them until next wednesday.

Hey everyone, I have 2 questions.

1. I'm curious how you filled out the immunizations part on DS3025. How on earth is someone from Isan supposed to find non-existent medical records of shots?

2. How long did it take to get your police certificate?

Thank you!

police cert took about 30 days

no idea how someone from isaan gets records however you mention they are non-existent so perhaps just trek into the appropriate hospital and get the age appropriate ones taken care of do be prepared for your s.o. to get sick. my bf was sick for a few days after his shots (he only needed 2)

hope that helps and good luck!

you don't fill out any of those forms related to the medical checkup. you take those forms to the doctor and they will take care of them. if you don't have any immunization records, they will just give you all the required immunizations (e.g., Hep B vaccine, MMR).

i went to the Police Department to request my police certificate on Aug 1. the pickup date is Aug 17. the sooner you request for it, the better. don't wait until you're close to the interview date.

good luck.

You know what, i have never received P3 from the consulate and am not sure if it will ever arrive. Anyway, i didn't mean to wait for it in the first place. now i look forward to next week's update on the interview schedules on the embassy's web site to see if i'm on there. well, it is possible that your girl and i will have interviews on the same date. :)

has your girl been to the police department for a police certificate yet? i plan to go to Bamrungrad for my physicals when i know my interview date (hopefully next week!).

Good luck.

Yeah, it's at the police department ready for pickup, she's just on holiday in koh samui right now so she's gonna pick it up when she gets back to BKK. As for the medical, we're also waiting to get the interview date scheduled first, and then she'll schedule it.

Haha, I've been looking at the interview schedule everyday now for it to be updated, even though I know it won't be till next week, and depending on how fast they process the Pkt 3's they receive, we might not be on there till the following week...we'll see:)

Definitely. I can't wait to be that far along in the process. We are only about 43 days in to the whole thing if you go by when NOA1 was issued. I love the summer, but I'm hoping this one goes by quickly as our NOA2 probably won't be issued until Sept/Oct.
