Expired passport can i apply for I751

Hello everyone,

 

My passport is expired and i will be applying soon for the petition to remove conditions on my residence. Do i have to necessary renew the passport to apply for form I751?

Your advice will be much appreciated.

No, you don’t need your passport. 

ROC.

PD: 02.01.2022.

NOTIFICATION (TXT): 02.04.2022. LIN service center

BIOMETRICS: 03.28.2022 (USCIS Case tracker update Case Was Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken) and also email update *biometrics used from AOS*

Approval: 07.18.2023. No interview needed.

 

N400 (So far)

PD: 01.30.2023

Biometric notification: 04.02.2023 for 2.23 in Charleston, WV. Charleston is close to 3 hrs away from us... We have an ASC 20' from home, so obviously this was a mistake.

Biometric walk in: (Westerville, Columbus, OH): 02.06.2023

Case being actively reviewed: 02.06.2023.

Interview: 08.30.2023 -On the spot approval.

Oath ceremony: 09.19.2023 --I AM ALMOST THERE!!!

Done!!!

No. I mean, they can ask for it as an ID, but that’s it. Is there not an Ivory Coast consulate in the US? You can always go there and renew it. I’m always the type of person that has her IDs renewed. With a passport this is super important in case you need to travel abroad.

There is a consulate, but they don't do passport renewal i have to go to the embassy in Washington or New York to be able to establish one with the baby was kind of difficult for me.

Anyway, i will have to find a way, thanks a lot.

Ok, so you got me re-reading the instructions again. No, you will not need it to apply for ROC, but you will need a valid passport for your ROC interview.
