UPDATE: The second RFE reply has been sent - to the correct P.O. Box address. It was received at CSC on July 13th. Back to waiting queue we go. (MS says he'll be here in September ... the optimist.)

MM (and MS)

I sent the RFE submittal with all the primary and secondary evidence to the wrong friggin' address. :bonk:

I used the same address I used when submitting the K-1 paperwork. Tonight, I looked through the file folder and saw a legal letter envelope with USCIS's RFE address ... a different address. It's on an envelope that no one would use because it couldn't possible fit all the evidence USCIS requested(!). :girlwerewolf2xn:

I have copies of everything and I still have time ... I'm going to re-send the RFE submittal to the correct address. It just doesn't end with this :ranting: petition application. I'm going to be six feet under before this stupid visa is issued !!!! :dead:

Signed,

Frustrated To No End

what is the correct address people use to send RFE? I have an I -130 at csc and the I 129f in chicago lock box? Its been over a year and we are still stuck at USCIS in AP. I been thinking of sending in some pics, evidence or our marriage, our birth certificates, and a corrected biographic data sheet for my husband. Our lawyer never bothered to update the sheet when I told her that my inlaws birtdates and place of birth was missing. I know that now they requiere petioners to submit evidene even for married couples so I am hoping that any evidence that I send might help to clarify what is holding us back.

thats strange they sent an RFE for the photo. why can't they be more consistent? my fiance's photo was smaller than 2x2 but i submitted it anyway and we had no problems.

from my understanding they wanted what was a visa sized photo for THEIR passport, not ours (which is a 2x2) so thats the reason i sent it anyway.

but you getting an RFE? how disappointing! sorry its taking so long. hopefully they will respond quickly.

Thanks, Sereia! Yes, odd as it sounds - MS's photos were too small. The RFE form was very clear: "... exactly 2 inches by 2 inches." On the plus side, getting new passport-style photos is an easy fix. For the RFE Response, I added additional documentation. If CSC wanted more evidence, it was going to get more evidence.

A. Two passport-style photos of MS and me, exactly 2"x2", as requested.

B. Proof of US citizenship included a copy of my Certificate of Live Birth (eerie title for a birth certificate) and a copy of the identification page in my passport. The passport was re-newed last June.

C. Proof of having met in person within the previous 24 months of the K-1 application date:

PRIMARY EVIDENCE:

  • copy of my passport identification page
  • copy of the Turkish visa issued last Summer and the admission date stamps from last Summer and last Fall

SECONDARY EVIDENCE:

  • copy of bank statements (with highlighted atm withdrawals and purchases made in Turkey during those visits)
  • digital photos taken of he and I
  • copy of airline e-tickets
  • copy of airline booking confirmations
  • copy of airline frequent flyer statements
  • copy of ferry boat receipts
  • copy of hotel bills

Everything was submitted and the (second) RFE Response was received on Friday, July 13th. Now we wait. At least, this part is finished. Come on, NOA2 !! Thanks, again, to everyone for their moral support and encouragement!

Here's to all of us getting through this queue with speed and success!
