Hi

Im trying to get an itin number for my spouse in india and need to get a certified copy of a passport, since India does not allow anyone to fedex original passports. Ive spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to obtain a certified copy but im still confused as to exactly how to do it.

If you have gotten a certified copy of an Indian passport will you please share how you did it? Thank you for your help.

Stay safe and healthy!

If you can not get the cerifiied copy of pasport (and never mail original to IRS as they do not return items) use 2 of the other ID

Birth certificate (with Engilsh translation)

National ID card ( with photo ,  name ,  DOB and expiration date)

foreign voter registration card

any 2 of the list from this site
