Hello. My fiancé is from the Dominican Republic, is it necessary to overload the petition given that I have heard of Santo Domingo being considered a high fraud country?

We met in 2019 and started as friends. In the last 1.5 years I’ve visited my fiancé 4 times, three of the trips were short trips 3 to 4 days, not sure if this is seen as a red flag. The only “long” trip was dec-Jan which was for about 10 days. I also have a planned trip soon for about a 1 week stay.

I have boarding passes, stamps, hotel itineraries,  photos together, whatsapp video/voice calls, bank transactions but no actual physical receipts. We don’t have many pictures together right now, only around 6-8. We have a 5 year gap. Given that none of us have prior marriages, etc I think what I have is enough but maybe DR needs even more extra stuff!?

thanks in advance.

Hi @tamarindo809

You are fine at least for USCIS stage, we only had one visit for 5 days when we started our journey after that there has been more visit that we have documented to bring evidence to the interview, we were approved at USCIS level. But it’s a good idea frontloading the petition for when it gets to the embassy, it will help you since most of the time they don’t look at the evidence you bring to the interview. I think you have enough, don’t send a bunch of screenshots of chats, just like 2 of every month, don’t for get your intent to marry letters, and the description of how you met. Your age gap is not significant.

Side note:

they never ask for how long was the visit (based on like 30 different experiences) they only ask “How many visits” since the relationship started to that point.

I am in two Whatsapp groups, one in Spanish, other English Spanish, let me know if you would like to be in one of these, DM me.

@Adamaris   Could you share the WhatsApp Groups with us if they are still available?

I have a Dominican Republic WhatsApp group Link if your case is also in DR? I can pass it to you through PM
