Has your name legally changed?

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

You can apply for your EAD and AOS with either name, whichever name you wish to be known as in the US. Your marriage certificate is basis for "legal" name change and you can just assume your married name if you want. It'll be harder to change your name later on the EAD or green card later, if you choose now to use your maiden name than it will be to just do it now.

The only time your maiden name will be used is for travel, as the name on your tickets must match the name on your passport.

Alternatively, you can likely have your passport updated, or get a new one with your married name. I have no idea what the process is for Indian passports though.

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
