1. Photocopy of applicant’s passport (the original to be submitted on the appointment date)

2. Photocopy of applicants’ birth certificate (the original to be submitted on the appointment date)

3. Original police certificate from every country where the applicant has lived for more than 6 months since the age of 16 (not all are obtainable or required; call us at 02797-2201 for further information)

4. An Affidavit of Support (Form I-864ez) signed by the petitioner

I think you should submit the documents they have asked for, the ones you listed below.

In Canada the consulate schedules the appointment for you, by sending you a letter with a time and date to attend the embassy/consulate. I don't know how it works in Egypt. It took me 6 months after I had submitted all the required documents to receive an appointment date, so you will probably have to wait at least a few months.

I hope this helps you.

Sophie is right. This only means that your I-130 has been approved and this seems like a RFE (requirement for further evidence). Send those documents as soon as possible and wait. In Canada the wait is circa 6 months - I don't know about Cairo - you may want to check out the Africa subforum, a lot of folks there have experience dealing with Cairo's waiting times.

Good luck, L.

Send them what they have asked for. About your inquiry, whether you are approved or not, you can email them to find that out.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

so plz i need to know they didnt send packet 3 in the mail bt they only sent this e-mail . so now they approved the case or what ? if so i need to know how can we get the 1040 form

Ahmed,

:guides: - they give you a lot of information about the process that you don't seem to have.

Send them what they asked for as soon as possible and email them for more information - only they can tell you exactly if your petition was approved (which seems logical since they gave you a case number). Or PM one of the moderators who may be able to assist you more precisely. Your post is confusing - you said Cairo and then Athens????
