IR1/CR1 - i130 Petition Filers from India - 2021

Hi,

 

I am planning to file i130 petition locally at the U.S. Embassy/consulate in India.

Wanted to check if someone has recently filed the same locally in India, and could help over some of questions that i have regarding the same.

I believe the DCF option for Mumbai is gone, except in emergency type situations.  You will have to file through the lockbox.

Do you have extenuating circumstances?

 

Did you even look into the DCF forum?

Local Filing is available. It's mentioned on the website as well. Hence, i am trying to find someone who has filed it locally this year.

However, apart from local filing which option is quicker - By Mail(Texas Lockbox) or filing online?

Yes. i have gone through the DCF forum. Due to covid, lot of scenarios have changed hence trying to connect with any recent filer to understand the current process more clearly..

The local filing is still active. It is mentioned on the US Embassy India website.

I am simply trying to connect with someone who has recently filed the same locally. This is not spamming.
