Hi VSJ Member,

Can anyone assist me about "Name to put" in document I103A. I have a bit confused during file my paperworks about what is the right name and last name to put in document. From this part, i could put husband lastname or my lastname before marriage?.

I do appreciate for your kind assistance.

Regards,

Sunny

Did you change your name after marriage? If so, then put that..

There are other documents such as I-485 which will allow you to put the names before and after marriage (if there was a name change)

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Dear Timona,

Thank you for your advice, I never change my name but i want Greencard to show my husband last name.. So i could put my name with my husband last name in all packet? And put my original name in part "Legal Fullname"?

Sorry for these but really new for these, im trying to figure out.

Thank you so much.

Sunny.

Can't do that UNTIL you legally change your name first. So get it changed first. SS Office is your first stop as others won't change it unless your SS reflects same, then you can get new DL, ID issued with new name. You can then submit new ID to USCIS as proof of name change.

My wife hit the SSO first to change her name after marriage. She then went to get ID/ DL and used the new SS card as proof of name change.

Here's a link for Texas. I think other states may follow same. If not, Google steps for your state
