Renew reentry permit

Hello, my reentry permit expires mid Jan but I want to renew asap. I read somewhere that you can only renew two months before expiry, and if earlier, you need to include old permit? Can somebody point me in the direction of an official document with this info? Instructions don't seem to contain it.

Just curious, are you a green card holder?  I am not aware of being able to renew a re-entry permit/advanced parole, you actually file a new application.  I am also not aware of a time limit for filing of a new application, and I cannot find anything in the I131 instructions.

Hi. How's your renewal of the re-entry permit? My son's permit i expiring by October.

They finally acknowledged receipt around one month ago so the wheels are turning

That's great! When did you file? What did they say about biometrics?

It was probably around late November. Still nothing more than notification they've received it. But that was the worst time for applying for anything. Reentry permits are not being prioritised right now. By October I imagine things will be fine.
