Last 2017 i was issued a 10 year tourist visa, with multiple entry in US embassy, Manila, PH. Then last February 2020 we applied for IR1 visa. Currently my case is At NVC and is already DQ. Just waiting for the interview schedule. My questions are:

What should I expect during the interview with my case that I have a tourist visa?

What are things that I should prepare?

Your replies will of great help. Thank you.

Hi,

Having a tourist visa has zero impact on your CR1 interview.

The tourist visa only becomes an issue if you lied during the process and it creates a discrepancy.  For example, a single person would lie about having a spouse thinking that it's a strong tie to home and it would increase their chances of getting the tourist visa.  Later, that person wants a spousal visa and can't produce a divorce certificate for the fake spouse named in the tourist visa application.

Prepare to answer questions about your relationship.

Best of luck.
