Hi guys! I'm about to enroll my son here in the US but the school told me my son is missing some shots. We just came here a week ago and I thought it couldn't our medical should be ok. I looked at his emedical and Hepatitis A only said not age appropriate when in fact he completed his two shots when he was less than a year old. Whoever encoded my son's details maybe forgot to type those dates in.

Anyone had the same experience?

How should I go about this? Is it expensive to go to the health dept?

I have his immunization record from his pedia.

Then use that for documentation for the school record

The immigration record is not always the right one to use.

YMMV

It depends on your local and state government as to what vaccinations are free. I was able to register my K-2 in school even with missing immunizations. After our marriage, they were added to my insurance, which took effect at the start of the new month. Then the immunizations were covered 100%. There might have been a free alternative here, but I didn't pursue that.
