So we finally got our interview rescheduled.  Initially we were supposed to go in April, now they contacted us last second to come in 9 days.  Since the paperwork says “A completed medical examination I-693 —— (unless already submitted)” I thought nothing of it but now I’m worried we’ll have to do it again.  My husband had his medical examination on April 1 2019, we married in June 2019 and filed the paperwork July 21 2019. Are we in the clear or is this going to cause problems?

From your timeline it looks like you are talking about K-1 panel physician medical. Does your K-1 medical meet the following conditions? https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-3

K or V Nonimmigrants Applying for Adjustment

K and V nonimmigrants applying for adjustment of status are not required to repeat the medical examination if the application was filed within one year of the date of the original medical examination, and:

  • The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition; or

  • The applicant received a conditional waiver in conjunction with the K or V nonimmigrant visa or the change of status to V and the applicant submits evidence of compliance with the waiver terms and conditions.

That’s what I was looking for!  Thanks so much, it seems we’ll be fine.
