Yes - in theory.

Because she has a spouse in the US and an immigrant petition underway, she is likely to get grilled at the point of entry and possibly refused admission based on them believing she has immigrant intent at that time.

People have had mixed experiences. If you're concerned about travelling all that way to have her denied entry, you could try the POE in Dublin, Ireland. It's a shorter trip home if they deny her.

Good luck!

If you want to make sure you get to see her then have her fly to toronto or Montreal first. she then trys to go through U.S. customs and immigration in either of those cities. If she gets trhough then she gets on her flight to see you. If she doesnt then you have to fly up there and have a wonderful visit in Canada!

There are lots of questions like yours and all the answers suggest that it MAY help if she has proof of ties back in Norway, like a lease on an apt, letter from employer with a couple of pay stubs from a few months ago etc.

Also it is recomended that she be completely honest in answereing all questions, without offering any extra info. When I cross and am asked why i'm going to the U.S. I say playing golf or whatever. If I were ever asked, I would say I will be playing golf with my wife...but I have never been asked that.

Good luck.

except if she's denied entry at a US post they'll just put her back on the plane headed back to her home country, she can't stay in Canada (or Ireland or or or), she won't even get past customs.

If they wanted to visit Canada together, that would have to be her final destination, not a connecting flight plan to the US.

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

I tried to fly thru Dublin while processing K3 and was denied. I provided all proof I could but was told with a spouse in the US it was against immigration law to let me enter.

Im not saying dont try but dont get your hopes up. Incidentally, when I was refused i was not put on a plane back home so the Canada entry maybe a good idea.

I visited while going through the immigration process....I took things to show ties back to the UK, i also took my NOA1 which i was glad i did as the POE officer asked, did i have any paper work to show i was going through the immigration process!!, as he asked who i was visiting, family or friends, i answered honestly & said Family, he asked who, i said my husband!!.......he laughed & asked how that marriage worked, me in the UK hubby in the USA....so i said its pretty good, but we are going through the immigration process, thats when he asked for evidence!! so thats when i showed the NOA1.

The best thing is to always be honest!!

my POE was Chicago.

Good Luck

BUT.if you dont bet, you cant win.RIGHT!!
