how do you know if youve been touched????? I checked my status.. it says the same thing... and it doesnt have any dates there except the one they recieved the Application Feb17

I read elsewhere that if the online date is still the same, then it hasn't been. Touched means that someone actually touched the form or updated your status online. So even if the status is the same, but online your status date has changed, officially you've been touched.

eeeeck. Someone please correct if I'm wrong.

Then you have not been 'touched'.

It's just when a mysterious online activity is noted in your file. Often it is generated by you calling in or making an inquiry.

Myself, I don't think it 'means' anything :)

Good point. I guess I meant that a change in date *might imply* something physically happening with your case paperwork, but my brain got stuck on the use of the word and kinda got grossed out. :dead: It was better when I was confused about it and thought the word was toucheeeed (like the french pronunciation).

Didn't realize that they would update based on an inquiry...in that case, I'd assume it means nothing. But what if you don't make any inquiry but your date changes?

I looked throught the CSC cases posted on here which should be a fair indicator of processing. I see most December cases done and I fully believe they are solidly in January cases with a small percentage of RFE work from December and maybe November pending. Lets hope this is fact :)

YES INDEED THE CALIFORNIA CENTER MOVES VERY SLOW. However, as I have posted before, there are several members going thru the CSC that have a January NOA1 and have already received their NOA2's. As to the Dec 31 processing date, don't quote me, but I think the Web Page update is every other Tuesday. It seems to be at any rate. Yes,,,I agree with another member, that the next update will probably reflect a new processing date of January 31st.

Lets continue to support each other thru this long ordeal!!!!!
