Purpose of 601 waiver

Hi all,

 

if if gc is denied during interview, is this waiver something you can apply for? Are u able to leave the country while waiting for this waiver to be processed or you Must stay in the country. Also if u do get the waiver approved does that mean you also go your gc approved or do you need to reapply for the gc again? Or appeal the first denial?

If a Green Card is denied, you can sometimes reapply......you can leave the country any time you want......but you cannot return without a valid green card or valid entry document such as an advance parole document.....there is no waiver allowing re-entry....you have no re-entry rights with any waiver that I am aware of.
