Hi

I am , single and currently living in Alexandria /Egypt, won the DV-2021, filled the DS-260 2 months  ago and I am planning to land in Phoenix AZ  after I receive my Visa.

On the other hand, I was initially preparing to get married this summer to an Egyptian woman and we postponed the process because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I want to know what is the best course of action and the most truthful legal path to achieve the following:-

  1. Getting married without interrupting  the processing of my green card or having any possibility of being disqualified .As I heard that doing so after you got selected might put my case under close focus and deep scrutiny of the marriage. Which in some cases might lead to disqualification.
  2. Land smoothly with my wife in the USA after getting married with a conventional legal status for her to work and start a new life with me.
  3. - My Fiance is divorced and she has a daughter who will stay here in egypt with her father .

If you have proof of a proper relationship, which it sounds like, get married and add her to your case. Yes, it will be scrutinized but if your relationship is real that shouldn’t be a problem.
