What is NOA1? I filed in June30 and we havent received anything until now. All we have is a receipt number. No text, no email, no mail from anyone. So, what am I really waiting for here? A parcel? a call? an email? a text message? Enlighten me. Because I do feel lost.

Type your receipt # into the USCIS case tracker. That is your NOA1 date. Your NOA2 (approval) should come in 5-7 months from that date. If you didn’t get a NOA1 notice in mail, call USCIS and inform them that you never received the notice by mail and they should send you another one. 
 

However, if you have your receipt number then you most definitely received your NOA1 or a text or you would have no way of knowing your case number.

We called and asked for the receipt number. But We didnt received any notice from them. No text or phone call. We just thought that it's been long time of waiting and we didnt received anything.. so thats why we called and asked for the receipt number.
