Name change

After I take my oath I will change my first name, remove my middle name, and I have my husband's last name.

My whole name is completely different from my original name, and I still have my passport from the country I was born.

I'm so confused about how am I supposed to be called anywhere in the world.

I changed it for personal reasons.

Has anybody else changed their whole name?

It’s up to you what you want to be called and where. You can change your native country passport for your new name if you want.

In my case my US passport lists my American name, and my home country passport lists my birth name. I made changes during naturalization with only the first name to remain the same, and the middle and family ones different.

I live in the US where I am called by my American name. When I visit my home country, I go by my native name.
