K1 AOS Form I-864

Hello,

 

My wife and I are filling out our AOS paperwork and I have a question about I-864. My dad will be filling it out since I am still in college and don't meet the income requirements. Should he and i  both fill out separate Form I-864's or would he only need to do it? Also, would he be the "only joint sponsor" or would I be one too?

You both have to complete an I-864. You are always the sponsor even if you don’t earn a single penny.

That is correct. You, the husband, are always the main sponsor. In this case your father is the only joint sponsor.
