We can only hope that things will go that fast. Unfortunately, "red tape" will slow processes down  . I am not sure how long it takes for the response on the medical, which I can see as the only reason that the interview scheduling maybe more than 1 month in advance. Can't wait to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Guys.. :help: Is there anyone pursuing a IR1/CR1 and the NVC has scheduled your interview in the last couple of weeks; :help: can you please tell me how long it took from when the case was completed at the NVC before you got your interview date. Did you have to wait to get the letter before you knew the date? Was the automatic voice system ever updated with this status?

Monday will be exactly two weeks since the NVC completed my case and I have not heard anything :crying: :crying

Jenice

Jenice,

:help: When you found out the date that your case was completed, did you hear it on the automated voice response system or from a rep? I am still waiting to hear if our case was completed as I am hoping that it will get in the batch for interviews in August.

Thanks for all your help and I hope you hear something soon.

Tamieka

Tamieka,

The automatic voice system was updated to said....you case was completed on Jun 25th please allow 8 weeks from this date for further instruction. If it has been more than 8 weeks then press 2. I then called the NVC on Jun 26 and was told that all the interviews for July was gone and interviews for August would not start to be scheduled until the 2nd week of July. I am calling over there today. I just need to find some time.

Thank you for the info, Jenice. I have been calling the automated voice system everyday, just to see if there is any additional information on the case. Hopefully, I will hear something soon.

I appreciate it and let us know what happened with your call to the NVC.

NVC updates their system every Monday, so you won't hear any changes until Tuesday on the IVR system unless you speak to an operator.

We can only hope that things will go that fast. Unfortunately, "red tape" will slow processes down  . The medical takes 2 wks (14 days) to arrive at the Embassy. Once you recv you interview date from NVC you can then schedule the medical, however, you will need the interview packet to actual attend the medical.

:innocent: Hi there. You and I are in similar situaton. I just received the Choice of Agent form and the Fee bill this past Saturday and I overnighted the check to them yesterday.I called this morning and was told that it will take 7-10 business days for them to process the $70 check and that I should call back in that time period. My husband sent an email to the NVC telling them that I am is Choice of agent yesterday and when I spoke with the rep this morning she told me that I have to allow at least 48 hours for a response confirming they have me updated as his choice of agent. :( Its always a waiting game. I am just curious as to whne they will send me that affidavit of support so that I can fill that out and send that back and really get this process rolling.

 Seems as if interviews are scheduled 1 month ahead.Only time will tell

Glad to see your journey is moving smoothly. My husband also emailed the Choice of Agent to NVC yesterday. I'm sending in the AOS Fee Bill this weekend, just cant' find the time to get this done w/me working two jobs and all.

I called the NVC today and got the same scripted response I got Jun 26--My case has been completed the next step is for the NVC to scheduled the interview. All the interview for July had been field apptmnts for August would be scheduled starting the 2nd week in July..the NVC can not ensure my case will be in the batch of interview scheduled it depends on availability. :crying::crying: I am so ready for this to be over with. I was feeling sure I would know something this week but after listening to the robot that answer the phone at the NVC you can never tell. With God's grace tomorrow morning the automatic system will be updated stating I got my interview date. I will keep you posted

I also work on Saturdays. It's not just that we're delaying the process (just a bit) b/c I want a Dec interview date. I know I can't guarantee anything but I'm going to JA for Christmas for a family reunion and it would be nice to complete everything all on one trip.

yeah it's been really rough

I just want to know if the NVC is skipping over people. If that's the case then I can raise hell. If not then I just have to continue waiting and hopefully we'll have an interview date soon. I remember how happy I was in January when we found out the NVC sent the case the Jamaica. Now, it's just upsetting. Every time I call the next two months are already full and a lot of people waiting etc. etc. Nobody can give me a straight answser
