Does my husband's tax return have to be processed for a green card application?

My husband and I used his 2019 tax for our application, but due to COVID-19, his tax was received by the IRS, but has not been processed so far (he mailed his tax return and the IRS has not processed mailed returns). Assuming that by the time we do the green card interview, his 2019 tax is still not processed, would that be still okay as he filed the return anyway?
