USCIS.Gov has posted my AOS status as "As of January 27, 2020, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number*********, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice." My field office is Dallas with the longest AOS processing time. Should I begin to prepare for an interview in the next month or be prepared to be placed in a long que line to wait for 9-10 months?

There are general processing times available for each field office on the USCIS website, although they are not necessarily accurate.  This depends on how long you need to prepare for the interview.  You will have about a month once your interview is scheduled to actually having the interview.  That one month could be more than enough for you to prepare.

"Ready to schedule" generally just signifies the NBC being done with the review process. It's now waiting for an interview at your LFO. It could still take many months or years, or not if that's what your LFO is like.

Your LFO field office estimates are your best guess.
