Interview was yesterday and..

Hello all,

 

My parents had interview yesterday at Mumbai consulate. They were asked 2 questions about their son (me). Basic questions like, what does your son do? where does he live?

 

They got 221(G) refusal because of file is incomplete and put on administrative processing. They were asked to provide the below documents and submit through drop box. 

 

1. Marriage certificate and a notarized English Translation

2. Indian Police clearance certificate from the regional passport office ( Original duplicate)

 

They both did take original marriage certificate (In English) so do Indian police clearance certificate. My parents tried to tell CO that those docs were original. Now they are required to submit again through drop box.

 

Can anyone explain what does marriage certificate and notarized English translation mean as well as Indian PCC (original duplicate mean)?? Do they have to notarized the marriage certificate?

Sounds to me they want the original marriage certificate along with a notarized english translation of the original marriage certificate. They want the Indian PCC to be a duplicate of the original document .
