Minor Children Bogota K-1 Interview

I was reading the instructions for the K-1 interview in Bogota and I noticed the line: "Minor children who received their own appointment letter (IR and CR cases) or whose names are listed on a parent’s appointment letter or petition should attend the immigrant visa interview." My question is do my fiancée's minor children (12 and 10 years old) need to be present at the interview just because they appear on our I-129F petition? They are not applying for visas at this present time (no DS-160s will be filed, no medical exams) and are not following to join. Common sense should dictate that they should not need to be present. However, according to the wording it seems that they would need to attend the interview which really doesn't make any sense to me. Does anyone have any experience with this who could possibly shed some light on this matter for me? I have e-mailed the embassy asking this, but I don't have high hopes of them getting back to me any time soon. Will update with their official reply if they reply at all.

No, they do not need to attend.  If you decide to bring them over as follow-to-join within the allotted timeframe, they will have their own interviews.
