Tourist Visa to Canada for Russian citizen

Does anyone know how hard it would be for a Russian citizen who is married to an American citizen and is in the process of AOS to get a tourist Visa to Canada? I know that she has to get an advance parole to leave the U.S. during this time before she gets her green card. I just wonder if she will be turned down for a Canadian tourist visa to go to Vancouver to get on a cruise ship going to Alaska. Is it more trouble than it is worth? I would pick an American port but, my family has already chosen this trip so, I have to try to make it work.

Canada is a special case. Once you have a Green Card, you do not need a visa at all.

Without it, you will need a temporary residence visa. This can take up to a month to get. I would call the Canadian Embassy and ask. You obviously need the AP as well if you don't already have it. As long as you are in the US legally, allowed to enter the US again, and have no criminal history, you will have no trouble getting it (other than time and money).
