It's where you send in packet 3 and they said hey we got this go ahead and book an interview.

We got confirmation from them via email and paper mail sent to my fiance, with the instructions on how to schedule the interview.

Okay good, then you should be able to reschedule the same way.  If there aren't any appointments open, it may be that you just have to wait a little bit.  That happens with K1. 

You can also try the inquiry form and emailing Montreal.

Okay well when we get the interview re-scheduled is my fiance going to have to complete ANOTHER medical exam?

Depends.  The visa will be valid for 6 months from the medical.  If more than 6 months have gone by before you can book a new interview then yes.

okay thats good. How come the uscis site says that its only valid for 30 days?

no idea. USCIS doesn't issue visas so it doesn't really matter.

i know that, its just confusing when theres wrong information in the place where they are supposed to help guide you. But thank you for the help i should have came to VJ from the beginning!
