Congrats to us, our AOS from a K1 visa was approved and my husband received his greencard! We were so excited, until...we looked closer and realized that they flipped his surname and given name. How that happens, I have no idea. No other paperwork at any point in time that this error. But here we are, with a brand new greencard that has his name backwards. What do we do?

You will need to send in your GC for replacement, there should be no charge to you, if you fill out the form correctly. I have no idea how long this process takes, but you will want to get this corrected.

Thanks! I was so excited to be done with USCIS forms for a while. But instead I'm filling out another one and waiting for them...again. I look forward to the almost 2 year break on this stuff!

One more thing I would suggest, make at least one copy of the incorrect GC for your records. You never know when you will need to come up with a copy for whatever reason, until you get your new corrected GC.
