Letter from employer

I've read that I will need a letter from my employer when NOA2 comes in. But what does it need to say?

"Mr. so n so is currently working for "X" company, has been working for "X" years.....Here's my contact number in case of any questions"

Is this a good idea of what I need or what do they need to see?

The letter my employer wrote for me stated my hire date, my salary, position and that it was a full time job. And of course the address and phone number if there were questions. Best of luck to you

Basically, your employer letter should state "To whom it may concern: (first name,last name) has been employed full-time with the XYZ Company since 200_ as a (name of your job), and is an employee in good standing with an annual salary of $XXXX. Signed, John Doe, Supervisor (or whatever title)" The letter should be on company letterhead.

once again thanks for the tip, reason why I need this is because i'll be going on vacation to Mexico and visit my fiancee! and I dont want to leave without being prepared and let NOA2 sit here for a month....so I want to be ahead of the game. Thanks!

Hopefully, you will get your NOA2 before you trip, because...

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as July 8, 2007*.

If this date has passed by more than 10 days or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.
