Hi anyone recently got their OCI processed through succesfully? So darn confused with the whole process. I am trying to apply formOCI+renunciation. Thanks for any input.

 

1.Do we have to send in a renunciation application seperately?

2.Also Do we need to mail in Indian and US Passport?

3.What is the average wait time?

4. So we pay a total of 210+290 correct?

Depends. Start the process on CKGS site and they will tell accordingly.

Houston Embassy you can do both together, CA embassy you gotta do each seperately. Best to call and confirm with your local embassy.

Yes. US passport gets mailed back the next day after verification. No stamps or stickers on it. Indian passport gets mailed back with renunciation with cancelled stamped on it.

Renunciation should take 7 days, OCI, takes 3-4 weeks. 

 

If your embassy does both together, they will likely hold on to the renunciation certificate till you get your OCI card and mail them back together.

It should show the total on site. but I think it is correct but without fees etc. Here is hat I paid
