My mom's in the ER and her oath ceremony is in the August 22nd

I made two reddit threads that never showed up possibly because my account is new. I made this one three days ago:

Quote

She went to the ER on the August 4th and she's still there today. They did an operation on August 7th. She wasn't able to sit up after the first few days of that, but now she has been able to walk a little with the help of a nurse.

I think the surgeon said the hospital will recommend a person or place for her after she leaves for chemotherapy or something since they found cancer.

I found my mom's N-445 in the mail yesterday, and I'm not sure if she's going to be able to make it. She says she could be back home on Tuesday, but I think that's her guess. I don't think she's eaten in the hospital, maybe a tiny, tiny bit. One nurse said that patients can usually, hopefully go back to eating after 5 days of the colostomy.

I think I'm going to write the letter for her. I found a template for it and I might use that template and give the paper to her so she can sign it.

I also wonder if it's okay to write this letter or print it out. I don't have a printer. And the N-445 letter says to "write" it out.

I also don't know how to tell my mom about this. I don't want to stress her out in the hospital and make her want to leave sooner than she's ready.

I made this one a few minutes ago:

I forgot to tell my mom about her oath ceremony on the Aug 22

I made a thread about this. I was putting it off b/c I didn't want to stress her out. Now I'm scared it's too late.

I'm going to research how to send a letter and how to send it quickly. It's August 14 and the oath ceremony is on August 22. I need to get this letter sent quickly so it can be rescheduled. I don't want it to be too late.

Today I'm going to take the N445 and show it to her. I think I might print the letter I make and get her to sign it. I messed up.

I don't even know a lot about sending letters and writing them. I don't know what to do. Nobody replied to my other thread.

Yeah, my mom's still in the hospital and they say she might not get out until Friday. But they keep pushing it back. And they've scheduled an appointment for chemotherapy or something that day(August 22). I don't know what to do. I think we need to reschedule.

Update: She's still in the hospital today. It's the 18th today and the oath ceremony is on the 22nd. I haven't sent the letter yet and I haven't written it yet.

When I brought up this issue a few days ago, my mom seemed to think she'd get out by the 22nd. It's getting so close and I'm worried about this. She said that she can't miss that date because it's so important and dismissed the idea of sending a letter.

If my mom's feeling better today(she wasn't up for talking yesterday), I'll bring up this issue again.

They accommodate wheel chair and she does not have to get up to take oath, she can sit on her wheel chair and they will come to her to hand-over the certificate.  So , if she is up to it, go for it or change date.
