Approval timeline for Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative

Hi,

 

My married daughter who is a US citizen submitted separate Form I-130 petitions for each of myself, my wife and our dependant son (who is her blood brother) and all cases were received by USCIS on August 9, 2018 and Receipt of Notice issued by USCIS for each petition is dated August 14, 2018.  I, my wife and son are all Canadian citizens. 

 

It is now almost a year but my daughter has not received any communication or queries or approval on any of the three petitions she filed for us last year.  On checking the status online today on the USCIS website, I do not see the approval for any of the three petitions. Out of curiosity, I punched in the receipt number following right after ours in the USCIS status check online, and noticed that petition which is also a Form I-130 petition, was approved on July 24, 2019 and mentions that the Approval Notice would be mailed to that petitioner.

 

How can I know where our petitions stand? Kindly advise. Thank you.

You can call or continue to use the online case tracker. The mailed notice is the only official notice sent.

Unless you get an RFE, there's no update until they either approve or deny (or provide intent to deny) the petition.

It sounds like you're likely to hear back something soon, but there is no way to know when exactly that will be, or if one (or all) of the petitions get held up with additional checks.
