F1- Unmarried Son Of a US Citizen Over 21yrs - Updates

Hello all, this thread is simply for those in -F1 (unmarried son of a us citizen over 21yrs)

 

Please drop you questions and if you’ve answers to the question asked please don’t  hesitated to respond. 

 

First let me start with my personal question: 

 

1. I’m a beneficiary of a F1 category( unmarried son of a US citizen) he filed Nov 2014, we only got the receipt notice up till now there has been no other notice ( approval notice); does it get this long before it’s approved? Or is that it has already been approved? 

2. Is there anything we need to do or is there something wrong with the petition? Though I sometimes check my case status on uscis website.

It takes a long time for the I-130 to be approved. Regardless, what matters is the PD date and current Visa Bulletin: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html
