EAD case. “New card is being produced”

Hey everyone. Can you explain to me what it means when the EAD case changes to “new card is being produced”? 

Just wanted to make sure that this is the approval and that everybody receives this status when they get their EAD approved. Thank you!

Yes, that status refers to the EAD being approved and card generated.

Thank you! Can you also tell me how long it normally takes to get it in the mail after this status change? Also my AP status wasn’t updated, I figured it would be since it’s a combo card. But was not 😕

Normally within a couple weeks. If you have USPS Informed Delivery, it should appear as a package in there.

 

My wife’s AP is still showing that it’s not approved. Her combo card came in around 1.5 years ago, and her green card was almost a year ago. So it may never update and you most likely got a combo card.
