Interview Requirements

Hi all,

We just got our letter from the US embassy in Switzerland saying that we are ok to schedule an interview (!!!!!). We were given a checklist with all the things required to be brought to the interview. Among other things it lists that my fiancé will need his birth certificate and police records and that they be translated and certified. My question is this. My finance's mother is a certified translator, will the embassy take issue if it is a family member translating his documents?

Yes. And most likely you can even do it yourself. It just needs to be certified (which is just saying that the person is fluent in these languages and that all above is correct with a signature).
